These documents from the gallatin Center for rehabilitation and healing come as families of the nursing home residents are suing the facility and these documents just may show how the virus got in.
It was Tennessee’s first big Covid outbreak.
Anybody in mid april of 2020 the state confirmed 161 cases at the gallatin Center for rehabilitation and healing with 19 fatalities.
More than all the other nursing homes in Tennessee combined.
And everybody else over there deserved better.
And now we may know why so many here got sick.
There’s no way you could look at the screen forms and say, y’all were screening properly.
Weeks before that massive outbreak, Federal regulators had instructed nursing homes to screen all employees before allowing them in to help keep Covid out.
That’s where the gallatin nursing home failed and failed multiple times.
Attorney Clint kelly now represents 25 families who are suing the gallatin center and its owner care.

and these are the gallatin centers completed screening forms on each form the screen.
It was supposed to record the person’s temperature.
There’s also a series of questions like, do you feel ill have a fever or any cold or flu like symptoms in the last 24 hours or been around someone who has anyone with a fever or symptoms.
The form says was supposed to stay out no temperature but Kelly found many screening forms with no recorded temperature.
How does she get into the facility or temperatures nowhere near normal.
I’ve never had it in my lifetime is 9.2 or even possible the last time you all had a temperature of 83.2 kelly says the gallatin center repeatedly allowed people in.
How does this pass for screening whose screening forms look like this?
I don’t know how you could possibly let somebody at least answering these questions, including this one.
For Don Cochran, who was the nursing home’s administrator at the time.
We know Don Cochran had been out of the country, but at least she could have answered the question.
Right.
And look here, have you had cold or flu symptoms such as cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, headache or shortness of breath last 24 hours?
No answer.
But perhaps most concerning are the forms where employees said they were sick.
Look at all the yeses on there.
She hits three out of four that they had Covid like symptoms.
She circled cough so she’s heading cough in the last 24 hours.
And yet kelly says timecard records show these people has cold and flu symptoms within the last 24 hours and has been in contact with someone who has flu symptoms were allowed in and expected to work the nursing no matter responsibility.
All your family members and they failed.
You kelly recently shared this information with the families who were suing the gallatin center.
I never knew.
I didn’t know they were, that lacks and they were stunned.
We had no clue what they’re now calling their group Sumner Citizens for justice and they didn’t do the proper screening in which that means that they didn’t care about the patients and they say they’re more determined now than ever to hold those responsible accountable.
It’s not about the money, it’s all about what they did wrong.
We did reach out to care right the owner of the nursing home and never got any sort of response.
Meanwhile, Attorney Clint Kelly tells me that at least one out of every four screening form has an issue or a concerning response.
The families tell us they hope to go to trial sometime next year.
